For a fashion designer, Krista hasn’t featured many models over the years. In the mid-90’s her sister posed in the backyard of their home in Krista’s first outfits and hats.
As her business grew, the need for photos grew – for marketing mailers, fashion show invites, and in 2004 to upload to her website. Pham was hired as a sample sewer in 1998 and really out of necessity and lack of anyone else, began posing for Krista shortly thereafter. For some long-time Krista fans, Pham has become that familiar face over the years, showing how outfits can layer, the uniqueness of her one-of-a-kind clothes and also how they look on a smaller body type.
A few years ago, Krista began showing her collections in Paris. For help with translation, her French teacher Sofie came along. Soon thereafter, Sofie began posing for Krista as well. A few of their photo shoots have been at Sofie’s farm in Southern Maine.
Within the last few years, Krista has shot a few photos of her kids in her clothing…..just for fun and to add some levity to the photos. Her 86-year old Grandmother recently posed for her on a trip out to NH. The photos were posted on Facebook and were the most commented of all of Krista’s postings.
All of Krista’s models bring a style of their own, which is what distinguishes Krista’s clothing. The models represent different sizes, shapes, ages and ethnicities, proving that the collection can be worn by everyone.
