Krista was among many other designer’s showing their Spring 2014 collections in New York on the weekend of September 15th. Presenting at a new venue, Krista’s line included a new color never used before and a very special fabric designed by Krista herself.
Pink has always been a color that Krista swore she would never use. However, for this line, pink was the main attraction. “I found a print that had pink in it and just couldn’t do without. It’s such a happy color. As you can see from my show, the room looked so cheery, not depressing. I will always offer black every season, but it doesn’t have to be a downer.”
Also a new and one-of-a-kind fabric was created from a painting that Krista made in her daughter Grace’s room.
This collection improved upon the layering of garments in different patterns. Whereas, in previous lines Krista had strayed from the use of too many patterns, this one encourages layering with color and pattern.
